本件作品做工精美、比例协调、神态生动，可说是件相当罕见的珍品。其基座是十字花莲瓣的椭圆形莲座，莲瓣圆鼓小巧，这是帕拉作品的特徵之一。背光顶部为石窟式罩顶，顶有宝瓶；正中央为长方形靠垫，连珠围绕一周；其上方的火焰型里雕刻一株菩提树，枝叶繁茂，也同样围绕了一圈连珠纹，左右还搭配有邬巴拉花；背光两侧呈S型的狮子为站立姿，脚踏大象及莲花，神态非常生动有趣。以邬巴拉花、石窟式罩顶或瑞兽为背光的佛像一般都是较早期的作品。
主尊释迦牟尼的眼睛部位呈菱形，眼神深藐。袈裟完全贴身没有衣纹，袒露右肩，一道从左肩斜被到右腋下的简单衣边，胸肌和腹肌的肌理分明，身材雄壮健美。小腿上有一条衣纹，小腹有一道刻线，代表裤裙。左肩垂下一条细小的衣角，右手结触地印，左手结禅定印。帕拉铜像大多以合金黄铜铸造，含金成分较高，铜色光润不易生锈。本件作品的材质显露出光彩耀眼的铜色，雕塑技艺洗练简洁，使佛像洋溢着充沛的活力，达到生动传神的艺术效果。

This　statue　of　Shakyamni　wears　the　upper　monastic　garment,　which　rendered　without　apparent　folds　and　covers　the　left　shoulder　only.　The　garment,　with　simple　and　fluent　lines,　set　off　exquisite　shape　of　draperies　hanging　over　the　pedestal.　The　right　hand　is　extended　in　the　gesture　of　touching　the　earth,　while　the　left　hand　rests　in　the　lap.　The　Upala　stranding　to　back　of　a　special-typed　aureole　decorated　with　auspicious　beasts　like　an　elephant　and　an　unicorn.　There　is　a　cover　from　the　shoulders　to　the　head,　topping　a　Stupa　on　the　top.
